Common questions

  • What happens if I lose my phone?

    Your data is gone. We can't recover it because we never had it. Before this happens, use Settings → Export to save a backup to a location you control. Vellum can produce an encrypted JSON file or a printable PDF.

  • Can I share my data with my doctor?

    Yes. Go to Settings → Export. You can produce an encrypted JSON file or (with the lifetime unlock) a printable PDF. Share it however you choose — Vellum itself never uploads the file anywhere.

  • How do I delete all my data?

    Settings → Delete all data. This requires two taps to confirm. It wipes the local database and deletes the encryption key from the secure store. There is no recovery — by design. Export first if you want a backup.

  • Can I get a refund on the lifetime unlock?

    Purchases are processed through the App Store or Google Play. Refund requests must go through Apple or Google directly — we don't process payments and can't issue refunds. Apple's refund process: support.apple.com. Google's: support.google.com.

  • Is Vellum a medical device or contraceptive?

    No. Vellum is a tracking tool. Its predictions are estimates based on your logged history. They are not a contraceptive method, not a fertility treatment, and not a medical diagnosis. If you are tracking for conception, contraception, or a health condition, please consult a clinician.
